The inspiration for Sojourners Family Resource Center came from an awareness of the vast number of people who were experiencing a breakdown in relationships, or a sense of feeling profoundly disconnected in the world. We created an atmosphere where people can work toward finding or restoring this sense of connection with themselves and others.
Sojourners became a place where people learn more about themselves and discover pathways to healing that lead to a sense of greater wholeness in their lives and relationships. After more than two decades of serving individuals, couples, and families in northern New Jersey, we relocated to Bend. Our purpose here is to bring the depth and breadth of our experience to help individual adults, older adults, and couples in Central Oregon who are seeking solutions to the challenges they face.
In developing your relationship with your counselor, you will begin to work through the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are keeping you from fostering lasting positive relationships and/or developing a sense of your own value and worth. You will learn how to manage your emotions, and to establish new ways of thinking and new patterns of behavior. As this occurs, you will find that your relationships improve significantly and that your own sense of value and worth will be transformed. This will enable you to confidently move beyond the difficulties that brought you into counseling and to achieve greater happiness and fulfillment.
